Custom Bedding from our drapery workroom

I wanted to share two beautiful custom beds which we just finished in our drapery workroom and installed recently. This is in the same house at Fox Den Country Club, one is the master bedroom and the other one is in a guest bedroom. Both have upholstered headboards with nails and part of the bedding is from Lili Alessandra, the rest was fabricated by us. This house was a complete remodel down to the studs and I will post more pictures on here as well as on the website, as soon as I take new ones. The master bedroom (with wallpaper) features velvet fabrics and a silk-like coverlet that can be washed in the washing mashine and does not need to be dry cleaned. I personally have the same coverlet from Lili Alessandra and love the fact that it is not too thick in summer and enough weight for winter. The headboard – from Lorts – was upholstered in the same fabric as two pillows – unfortunately the camera did not pick up the beautiful pattern in the velvet. Solid velvet pillows with trim accessorize the bench at the foot of the bed and the same fabric was used for the custom velvet draperies. The rest of the master bedroom furniture also came from Lorts on the finish perfectly complements the subtle taupe color scheme of all the fabrics. In the guest bedroom we were going for a little bit more color. Solid linen fabric was used for our headboard as well as for the gathered bedskirt. The custom window treatments (full panels) match our fabric for the coverlet.

Commercial and residential interior design and decorating in Knoxille and surrounding areas

No matter what size design or decorating job, not matter if it’s a commercial or residential project, and no matter which part of the country – Diane and I take our job very seriously and strive to give our customers nothing but the best at most competitive prices, or even better pricing than our competitors – and YES, we honor internet pricing if it can be found cheaper online.  And when Diane get’s her marching orders, then she literally goes to town, as you can see in the attached picture, where she is working on a commercial job – pulling all sorts of options and different color schemes for our client. Our designs go from traditional designs to very clean – line, transitional designs – in this case we were working on a a more relaxed/traditional design for a country club, pulling options for window treatments, sofas and chairs, lighting as well as carpet and other occasional pieces like side tables, consoles, etc.

Lighting makes such a huge difference in any room design and always needs to be carefully selected.  Not just for the style and finish, but also to supply the interior space with direct and indirect lighting, functional as well as mood lighting. Not only does it help to give a room depth, but it also is able to give it more dimension and character. Our two favorite lighting lines by far are Visual Comfort lighting and Currey & Company. Both companies have most unique and timeless styles and absolutely gorgous finishes.

Another big aspect for all of our designs are custom window treatments which again can range from simple linen panels to more elaborate draperies – all depending on the needs of our customer and the design […]

Blackberry Farm bed crown projects

Yesterday was our first installation day of our custom made bed crowns for two rooms at the newly built Carriage House at Blackberry Farm, Walland, TN. Blackberry Farm interior Designer Susan Wojnar and Blackberry Farm maintenance/custom remodeler Mike Orr both did an amazing job with designing and building the bed crowns. Unfortunately we can not post pictures of the finished rooms with our work in it, however Susan and I couldn’t resist to take a couple of “selfies” after a full day of drapery installations. Professional photographers with take some beautiful room shots with the finished interior design work and this will be featured on Blackberry Farm’s website in the near future.

Elaborate custom bed crowns aren’t a typical daily drapery job for us, however if anybody is in need for some extra bedroom elegance – Mike will have us covered to construct it to the exact specs needed. One other thing to consider is the weight of the finished product. Even before attaching all the fabric, the woodwork alone can ad up to quite a bit of weight and extra ” lumber blocking” behind the sheetrock is needed either on the wall or the ceiling in order to firmly attach the bed crown.

Best interior designers in Knoxville

No doubt, the competition is fierce, the competition is plenty and the competition is not sleeping. Well, we aren’t either and it is our goal to bring to Knoxville the best interior design services available at most competitive prices. We go to the international Furniture Market in High Point twice a year and to the Atlanta Gift and accessory Market (which is also our Christmas Market) twice a year as well, and our goal is to bring back to Knoxville the latest in interior design trends, new furniture ideas, new styles and color schemes, creative lighting ideas, rug and flooring choices, etc….Another unique possible situation that my design firm offers to our clients is a “male and female” approach to interior design.  Diane and myself tackle some larger design jobs together for a couple of reasons – and this is at no extra charge to our clients! We are able to select items quicker and more efficently since there are two of us working on it. We  bounce design ideas off each other and usually Diane or I are  able to come up with an extra idea to maximize the look and the overall outcome. Besides that as mentioned above we give it a male and female touch and a more holistic  design approach.

Also Wolfgang Interiors & Gifts offers not just fine furniture, accessories, lighting, gifts, and a full bridal and wedding registry, etc., but also custom window treatments and draperies which we fabricate in our own drapery workroom. And when I say our OWN drapery workroom, then I mean that I am physically in the drapery workroom sewing window treatments and bedding for our clients. One of our latest  clients and projects has been Blackberry Farm, Walland […]

Personal kitchen remodel and kitchen design

I am currently working on my personal kitchen remodel and design and it’s been quite an interesting journey! As an interior designer one might think that it’s a quick and easy process for me but its quite the opposite to make final decisions and to pull the trigger. But I am making progress have made the majority of cabinet selections and layouts, flooring, tile, lighting and furniture selections. I decided to pull up the current flooring and restore the original hardwood flooring. Twill also help for all the rooms to flow on both levels. I also designed the tile backsplash and some of the walls will have flooring to ceiling white subway tile. Accent tile will be above the cooktop in a very light and subtle blue color which will also be my ceiling color. Custom bar stools from Lords are also on order and vinyl rugs and vinyl runners will protect my hardwood flooring in areas where the bar stools will be and in front of the sink and cooktop. Custom window treatments and draperies will get fabricated and cover Hunter Douglas silhouettes with white sheer fabrics. What’s left? Well – countertop selection and this has been the hardest thing for this picky interior designer. I love the look of marble, but it’s not practical. So it’ll probably be granite, however I haven’t found the perfect match yet. Luckily I have no deadline with my own kitchen and I enjoy the slower process of making design decisions. More to come soon!
